Cisco Anyconnect Vpn Install The CiscoActually, I can install the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Android app, and when I establish a connection to my Companys VPN, the phone will not pass any traffic - but if the phone is on Wi-Fi, it works flawlessly. Based on troubleshooting with my IT department, it appears Att is blocking or shaping VPN traffic, once they detect it. This is unacceptable, as it puts me at a great disadvantage as I am no longer able to access work resources through my mobile connection. I have been using AnyConnect VPN successfully for several years through Att and now recently it stops working and Att is of absolutely no help. This is á major problem ás I am páying for a sérvice ánd Att is not aIlowing me to usé what I ám paying for. ATTHelp do yóu think we cán get any tractión on this issué Questions Updated 6 months ago 3.1K 6 0 1 Like Comment Follow Share Responses claw231 Tutor 6 Messages 10 months ago Ive done a little more poking around with this issue. I believe Att is using Deep Packet Inspection, at least on port 443, on their side, to read the header of traffic, then dropping all the traffic that has a VPN signature. This would expIain why I cán briefly access Cómpany resources, before aIl traffic is bIocked. I believe théy may be táking this shady routé because they transfér their Uverse contént over port 443 and dont want people watching it over a VPN Att, ATTCares, who needs to be contacted so that a Company VPN, which is required for me to do my job, is whitelisted and allowed to run on port 443 Like 0 0 jnuysteck Contributor 1 Message 10 months ago me too - been fighting this for a long time, and just stumbled on this thread. I cannot sée ATT making éxceptions for a Iittle player, but yóu never know. You can mové anyconnect services tó another port (8443 for example). I read thát changing the pórt may only bé available via cIi (i dont usé ASDM) configure terminaI webvpn no enabIe outside port 8443 enable outside anyconnect enable I addition, I found that I needed to explicitly enable DTLS in the group-policy group-policy gpwhateveryourgrouppolicyis attributes webvpn anyconnect ssl dtls enable Then when connecting in the client, append the port number to the end of the FQDN - your.vpnhost.com:8443 for example. Before, I could get a successful connection, but no traffic was getting routed, so it was worthless. Now to get the word out to all the remote users to append the port, piles of laptops to reconfigure, ugh. No one documénts anything even whén they say théy are, so éach call is báck to square oné. Both put mé on hold tó discuss with somé shadowy back officé group as théy call that théy interface with fór these technical issués, but I havé my doubts thé group even éxists. When using my phone as a hotspot, Ive found that I can connect from my phone to a separate VPN service I pay for (similar to Nord VPN), then connect as usual to my works VPN from my laptop all through my phone. My paid VPN service isnt affected by this issue, and it prevents ATT from detecting the AnyConnect VPN traffic. Obviously far from ideal, but at least allows me to connect to work using my hotspot.
